If you own a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury
vehicle manufactured in the United
States between 1983 and 1993, you are likely to own a vehicle that
contains an ignition switch which is known to cause spontaneous vehicle
fires.
Although news reports indicate only a small number of fires
can be
attributed to this ignition switch, there are no local, regional, or
national databases on fires from which to know the true number. Because
of this,
there is no way of knowing how many vehicle or HOME
FIRES
were caused by this switch.
If you do own a Flaming Ford,
we've
also put together a set of
tips you can follow to reduce the chance of serious and
life-threatening damage from a vehicle fire which starts due to this
ignition switch.
To determine if you own a vehicle which was manufactured by
Ford
containing this ignition switch, select the model and year below
and click on the button to search the FlamingFords
database. [Sorry - this
